Europeâ€™s most colourful event – The World Bodypainting Festival. It’s an annual festival held in Seeboden, Austria, near the Millstatter See, on the third week of July every year. 25.000 visitors are expected in the upcoming world championships for bodypainters.

The World Bodypainting Festival is the largest artistic event of this kind and draws thousands of people every year. Artists from 40 nations – including Australia, North Korea, Canada, USA, Columbia, Argentina and South Africa â€“ will be coming to this impressive Event. The festival is the best gallery in the world for artists to exhibit their bodyart work. The bodypainting will take place in the Klauber Park in Seeboden, where the unique surroundings of Lake Millstatt provide the appropriate impressionistic backdrop. The bodypainting work at the event is of a high artistic quality. The female – as well as the male bodies – are painted aesthetically, either to the given theme, or from an artistic.

Amidst the breathtaking scenery in Austria, it’s a place where bodies are boldly put on show, and each artist has the opportunity to show his or her own specialties. The festival has an impressive array of highlights and a varied program in store for artists and models, photographers and video film makers, visitors, and indeed anyone interested in the body cult. The World Body Painting festival draws a crowd of 15,000 spectators, 250 models and more than 150 artisans each expressing their individual creativity. Award-winning artists from around the globe gather to compete for the title of World Champion Bodypainter.

The World Bodypainting Festival at Seeboden is the first of its kind in the world and has become the “Mecca of Bodypainting”. The Lake Millstatter See region’s scenery is the stage, where bodies are boldly put on show, and each artist has the opportunity to show his/her own specialities – bodies painted with many different materials and techniques, and sometimes combined with the most fantastic costumes, masks and

show effects. At the Body Painting Festival, the interesting art of body paiting is showcased with abandon. Body painting is a form of expression used by people who like to be naked to communicate feelings and ideas about the human body by using the body itself as the canvas. Such ideas may sometimes be of a sexual nature, but that is only a small part of the possible range of thoughts that can be expressed. In fact, the expanded possibilities for self expression that are possible when one doesn’t wear clothes form one of the chief attractions of being naked for some people.

Only the best in their professions teach the classes. And because you never finish learning, the workshops offer possibilities not only for beginners, also for advanced artists to further their knowledge. Group arrangements for schools can be organized on request. There are a number of different contests (including a nighttime competition designed to showcase stunning UV effects) workshops, audience participation, music and performances and a massive fireworks show to enjoy.

Body painting is a form of body art, and has probably been around since the beginning of civilization. In almost every tribalist culture, body painting was performed during ceremonies or merely just for the beauty of it. Back then they used clay and other natural pigments.

But no art without paint of course, and you'll be happy to know that the paint is restricted to guidelines: the body paint has to be non-toxic and non-allergenic. The paint easily washes of with water and soap.
As for the henna dyes, which Mehndi uses, there's a difference between the synthetic black henna, and the natural brown henna. The natural henna dye is completely safe when body painting, but the synthetic black henna dye could cause allergic reactions. You should have yourself patch tested before using these at body painting.

It is said, by some, that body painting is the oldest form of art, dating back to early civilization. The World Body Painting Festival originally began in 1996 in Austria. Over the years, it has drawn over a hundred artists and models, and thousands of visitors, from all over the world.

Star Ashley Greene Wears Nothing but Body Painting

Taylor Lautner’s not the only “Twilight” hottie showing some skin! In a new ad campaign for SoBe Lifewater, toothsome actress Ashley Greene flaunts her own fabulous figure – in nothing but body paint. Greene – better known as Robert Pattinson’s on-screen vampire sister Alice Cullen – hawks the brand’s calorie-free drinks in a series of barely-there “skinsuits,” including scaly pink and yellow designs that were painstakingly painted on her body.

“It took the artist 12 hours to paint the SoBe scales on each skinsuit,” Greene said of make-up artist Joanne Gair. “But it was totally worth it. It’s an experience I’ll never forget. “We did two photo shoots, one on the beach and one in a secluded jungle-like setting and it was incredible,” she added. “It was nice to get away and spend time in such a gorgeous place for a few days. “In the eye-popping promo shots and video circling the Web, Greene frolics on the sand and strikes a sultry pose in the Turks and Caicos islands promoting Cherimoya Punch and Strawberry Dragonfruit drinks.

Fortunately, her vigorous shooting schedule for the ” Twilight” sequels – including the upcoming “Eclipse” – have kept the actress in shape. “We had a lot of action and fight training,” she said. “So it really toned up my body for these pictures. “Greene’s sexy photo shoot will be featured in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, which hits newsstands on February 10.

On the other hand the funny man joins the helm of DoSomething. org’s Teens for Jeans Campaign, which kicks off its third annual campaign on January 19. Greene and Long’s PSA hit the Internet today, and Tonic spoke to DoSomething.org about the unlikely pair they chose to lead this year’s “pants drive:”

“We chose Ashley and Justin because we knew that teens loved them both. Ashley attended our Power of Youth Event in LA last summer and mentioned that she wanted to get involved — she really cares about teens. The hilarious thing about this unlikely duo is that they’ve met before — back when Justin Long was ‘punk’d,’ Ashley Greene was an actor on the show and part of the setup. They were both so easy to work with — very professional and genuinely cared about making a fabulous PSA.” Check out the exclusive behind-the-scenes candids of the stars shooting the video.

The comedian and the babe make quite a compelling case in the video, but it’s the facts that can’t be ignored. “One in three homeless people in America are under the age of 18,” Greene announces in the PSA. “I got involved with this campaign because it is so important that no teen goes this winter without warm clothes,” added Long, in a DoSomething.org release.

The solution, however, is easy, thanks to Teens for Jeans and Aeropostale. Simply bring in a pair of gently worn jeans to any Aeropostale store between January 19 and February 14, and Aeropostale and DoSomething.org will make sure that they are donated to one of 600 local youth shelters that have been selected as partners for the campaign. In return for donations, Aeropostale will give a 25 percent discount on a new denim purchase. Donors can also enter to win autographed jeans from celebrities like Shia LaBeouf, Chris Pine, Penn Badgley, Dakota Fanning and Taylor Swift.

DoSomething.org tells Tonic, “This campaign has been incredibly successful from the start. In the first year we collected 125,000 pairs of jeans and last year, we topped 200,000. We’re hoping that, especially in this economic climate, we can match that success and give hundreds of thousands of teens the jeans that they need this winter.” If you have any gently worn jeans, head over to Aeropostale to donate them to a worthy cause starting January 19 to help Teens for Jeans reach its goal.

Wear a favourite pair you've already broken into which can take lots of walking, in any possible terrain he might bring you through. This is not the time to go shoe shopping. Hobbling around in your gorgeous but yet to be broken into new shoes wouldn't leave a good impression.

Next, you want to look your best, your sexiest without looking like you tried too hard. No two men have identical tastes. The fact that he asked you out means he already finds you attractive. Don't sweat it out. Be yourself. Relax. Wear what you are comfortable in, but a tad sexier. Show a little more skin. Most importantly, pick an outfit that realy flatters your figure type. Pick a new dress or outfit that suits your figure type and wow him when you show up in it.

Finally comes your fragrance. Scent evokes a reaction from the most primal part of your mind. Choose your fragrance based on what works for you, not what the hero in your favourite movie might comment. Heard about product placement. In some scenes, the hero might sniff a certain heavily advertised perfume on the heroine and say how much he likes it.I wonder how much the movie makers are paid for product placement ads like that. Also, what smells wonderful on your best friend might not work on you. Pick what suits you.
